And Walking in the Dazzling Sun

We rarely see the moon

Our eyes are heavy

Even before darkness has set in

What can keep us awake?

Words from his mouth

Alphabets from the pages

Even dark ink

Is our moonlight

Kailash Satyarthy* is our sun

And we love

Walking in the dazzling sun

* Kailash Satyarthi is an electrical engineer and an Indian children's rights activist and a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. He founded the Bachpan Bachao Andolan in 1980 and has acted to protect the rights of more than 83,000 children from 144 countries. Wikipedia

I have used the first line of the final stanza of the poem “To Rest In The Shade” by  Eugenio Montale in the title and in the last line of my poem.

The soft dewdrop eyes

Reflect the dreamy light

The sun is hidden in the heart

Who can put out the life

In whose veins rush the bright stars?

Flame of the sacred fire

Touches the frozen desires

And melts the fear

Of thousand butterflies

To rise higher and reach the sky
