DIARY STORIES

I grieve the loss

Of those words

Written on pages

Of a diary

With a white cover

Lovingly holding

The rainbow thoughts

Of a prancing child

Who was tamed by words

Read or written

Recited or put to tune

Words, words and words

Of childhood

That flowed gently

On those pages

Of that white

D i a r y

That also held

Her poet father’s words

Of a corrected rhyme

Of a rooster poem

That she wrote

All forever gone

WHEN THE ANGEL’S WINGS CAUGHT FIRE

When his blood cells were losing strength

His time was being crushed to dust

Doctors sat with grave face

The hapless father running to and fro

He was reading Tintin on wheel chair

The frail hands dropped the comic book

An eager mind instructed the body

To pick it up

As it was the time of fall

Pain would not let the hands to work

The mother, wiping her tears

Gave the book to her babe

Her loving words added faith

To the dying little angel

“Beta* enjoy every moment of your life”

He flashed a bright smile

A LEAN ROYAL BENGAL TIGER IN A ZOO

courtesy : google image

Are those dozy eyes of yours

On the edge of dreamy

Sunderbans

In search

Of your ladylove

Are those nimble magic feet of yours

Dreaming of those flash of lightning

That struck

From the grassy sky

Upon the chital

What daring hands

Could put you under those iron bars

Have you groaning with shards of dream

Make your heart burn

On caged nights

What gruesome mind

Could wean you away

From your mother’s leafy lap

And make you a mere toy

Of entertainment
