HEART
It’s a red lotus
The soft petals spread and hold
His radiant smile

It’s a fountain-head
Crystal-words cascade down
I pick up a handful

It’s a gust of wind
Blowing away rumbling clouds
I relish sunshine

  1. I love the idea of a heart as a red lotus. That is very Zen!

  2. I see Life opening the lotus while holding these crystal words and smiling up into the sun, and I think, I want to stay with Life for a long long while when it has such images in it. Thank you for posting this in Midweek-Motif ~ Heart

  3. nice...i really like the indirect approach in this...some tight comparisons to the heart as well...and not the same old ones that have been used again and again...fresh....cool

  8. The heart can be so elusive! One may just get some of them in bits and pieces! Nicely Sumana!

  10. For a second I didn't get why you said the heart was wind but you "relish sunshine"--but then I got it (blows away the clouds), and I think it's pretty clever. :)
