IN THE BOBOLI GARDENS

courtesy : d'Verse Poets ball

We are partying tonight

Us, the wordy-beings

As our feet strike the dancing floor

Lighty-flighty mighty words

Begin to rise from terrazzo

We are drinking deep

The Soma-rasa* of intoxicating words

Fragrance of exotic sumptuous meal

Soothing our hungry souls

In the Boboli gardens

We all hear the whispering voice

“In the beginning was the Word

And the Word was with God

And the Word was God”

We recognize ourselves

Under this starry night

“We are one"

*. Soma rasa is a CONCEPTUAL beverage of Gods , which is described as Truth (Sathyam), Auspiciousness( Sri:) , light /radiance (Jyothi:) in the Rig-Veda (Wikipedia)

  6. I like the idea of recognizing ourselves under the starry night. It made me think of Van Gogh. This definitely would be a nice image to party under.

  9. There is definitely something sacred about Words...and how you tie in our diversity to oneness at the end is so true. Beautiful.

  10. Finally I have found you! The Garden is huge and crowded but the soma rasa lured me to your side. When the diverse babblers see they are one, everyone has a chance to survive.

  13. The loveliness of your words & spiritual message were certainly matched by the whirling, stamping, hugging, weeping with joy that I have witnessed & participated in for two days; my first time in Italy. I love knowing that in your corner of the globe, your home is shared with us, & your heart; it is cherished.

  21. The word, the lights, the sounds - stage set - poets enter stage left - the party started three years ago and we play on, yes we play on. Happy Anniversary! and thank you.
