A Language

National Geographic Space Picture: Source

I wish to include

Everything

In my lines

To give every object

A cozy feel

To make them happy

For being

Denizens of verses

Let the lines be made of birds,

Stones, woods, rivers,

Ice and fire

Holy men, sinners,

Hunger, riches

Venom and nectar

Let the pages be filled with

Dull, drab, dreary

Death and destruction

Let the words sing

In unison with shamans

With shrewd Machiavellians’

Expedient aim

With sighs of the oppressed

All reasons have rhyme,

Trajectory of their own

Light dots in heaven

Speak in harmony

In a perfect rhythm

Does this universe move

Poetry is the language

Of Existence

So we live and die

  1. To be a poet is to capture those words and put them into sense and beauty is what you have just done.

It can never be a better privilege than to be immersed with poetic language which is not easy to come by.But you have it most distinctly Sumana!

  12. Yes, I love your collection of words...perhaps a poem can be made of any ingredient, no real recipe for success? Open your heart, let the words out, catch them if you can.....

  13. This is my favorite of yours now. It's as if you were the eye of the universe writing these lines. The last one is spectacular. It is all so beautiful in it's truth.

  17. How glad I am that I don't have to include everything in order for it to exist as I am sure I would leave something important out! I do like all the things you included!

  21. Lovely. The ability to find harmony and/or insights in the turmoils and mysteries of this world - that truly is a language onto itself.

And you follow up with the objects lively and also the dull! I love how you alliterated and cascaded among so many possibilities. Poets look through the eye of the needle, threading their lines. Bravo! Even the unhappy are happy to be in the poem.
