As a child I often thought that the stars were a connection with our loved ones, who had passed away. That childish notion still draws me to that conclusion today. I loved this poem Sumana and appreciate the thoughts you may have had too when writing it..A profound sentiment. Eileen
Oh, Sumana, the poem starts off so softly and with such a wonderful feeling of repose, but the melancholy of the second half really touches the heart. I certainly hope those twinkling stars provide some comfort.
I like the idea of thinking of the stars as 'twinkling thoughts.'
