any picture comes to my mind,
i try to give it a body of words,
love to sit on other blooms,
for honey, color, fragrance........
I like the idea of thinking of the stars as 'twinkling thoughts.'May those twinkling thoughts be good memories of pleasant moments.
The night is often a time to reflect upon the memories of our loved ones..such a heartfelt piece..! Beautifully penned.Lots of love,Sanaa
Heart becomes the dark sky... very nicely put!
When thoughts and dreams twinkle it is truly magic :)
My bleeding heart Becomes the dark sky- Love that line and the impressions of love that it creates. Well done.
"Rest alightsIn her dusky wings"Without her the memories can consume. We need some distance from each sun. How totally alive!
Nice coorelation between the stars and thoughts, twinkling on through the night. Extending that metaphor, lighting someones night - a beautiful thing.
I like the idea of thoughts twinkling like stars in the night...as if thoughts of a loved one can lighten our loads.
"my thoughts of you twinkle at night," so romantic, it give the darkness depth
The last few lines make the poem very personal.
"My thoughts of you twinkle all night" ~ Ah! So beautiful. First time, I read thoughts being compared to stars. Lovely, Sumana :)
Night oftentimes bring memories and heat aches. I see the twinkles as personal fireflies that flare up for you.
Very beautiful, Sumana! Her dusky wings, and your thoughts of her twinkling all night.
Such perfect closing lines give a real sense of hope here.
I love the sense of settling down and into love here--
I can imagine you, your thoughts like stars twinkling, missing her but mostly loving her. Beautiful write Sumana.
Yes, the twinkle of the stars is much like their approval of your love.
Very Embracing. The twinkle of the stars kept me hooked to the details..so beautiful.Sumana, you have your way with words…always a pleasure reading you. 😊
I get my childhood back with this.. it's like twinkle twinkle little stars... I want to make a wish.
Sumana,As a child I often thought that the stars were a connection with our loved ones, who had passed away. That childish notion still draws me to that conclusion today. I loved this poem Sumana and appreciate the thoughts you may have had too when writing it..A profound sentiment.Eileen

A poem of loss and sadness.
Oh, Sumana, the poem starts off so softly and with such a wonderful feeling of repose, but the melancholy of the second half really touches the heart. I certainly hope those twinkling stars provide some comfort.
