Words that come from Teacher
Quiver with life
Touch us
Make us alive
To the world around us
We look up
Recognize our Guru
We are prepared
To walk with him
From darkness to light

it is like having kids,, so this is good and bad. they will follow your lead for better or worse. teaching is a dangerous responsibility
ReplyDeleteThere have been so many people in the world that have set great examples for us and showing us what can be done despite such great difficulties and impairments. How good that you remind us of that.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous movement from darkness to light, from located to vast and from known quantities to new words like magic wands full of life and spirit. You hold "Teacher" to a high standard here. Bravo! We should not settle for less.
ReplyDeleteOur guru, I admire the honour you bestow on the teachers that inspire us ~
ReplyDeleteA good teacher is always worth following from darkness to light..succinctly an powerfully written
ReplyDeleteA good teacher can lead us to places we never knew we wanted to go or were capable of going. Helen Keller is an excellent example of both one who was taught and one who teaches.
ReplyDelete"to walk with him from darkness to light". We need every teacher in the world to use this line as motivation and mantra. The best ones do.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful.....!! Loved the opening lines :D
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with the Helen Keller reference! That is perfect for this prompt.
ReplyDeletei like this one Sumana. short but summarizes pretty well the role of a teacher to a student's world
ReplyDeleteBeautiful write and wonderful to be led to the light
ReplyDeleteThat is a big responsibility but that is what many teachers do every day. I think they deserve more credit.
ReplyDeleteTeachers are important in a life. We all have them. We all remember the good ones and the bad ones.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice when we have a guru we recognize, to teach and help us know how to live life.
ReplyDeleteThe brevity and clarity in your words are so refreshing. Beautiful and enlightening.
ReplyDeleteThis reminded me of an old folk song, "Follow me where I go, what I do, and what I know..." And you are so right about the light,
ReplyDeleteElizabeth
Sumana, This is really superb.
ReplyDeleteTo walk with him
ReplyDeleteFrom darkness to light
Obviously he is a good guru, if one is prepared to be with him through thick and thin!
Hank
