Energy

source

The consciousness that dances

In the tiniest feet of the ant

To carry its food triple its size

Is given to me also

I build my home

And also my food

With words

“Praise be to God

Praise be, praise be praise be”*

*The lines are from the lyrics of the national anthem of Zambia.

  6. Oh Sumana, this is beautiful and I so admire your deep faith and gratitude. My poem is sort of the opposite, but is just where I was at at that particular moment. I got grateful again soon after, LOL.

  9. How wonderful that each creature and living thing has special talents to survive. It is a pity that humans spend so much time and energy being destructive.
