Energy
The consciousness that dances
In the tiniest feet of the ant
To carry its food triple its size
Is given to me also
I build my home
And also my food
With words
“Praise be to God
Praise be, praise be praise be”*
*The lines are from the lyrics of the national anthem of Zambia.

Sanaa
One must always be thankful to lord indeed.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Sumana. That strength from Divine Almighty is enough to move you mountains.
ReplyDeleteAmen. amen. The image resonates!
ReplyDeletePraise be indeed..we may not be ants but the load we carry can feel as heavy and burdensome...but carry it we must if we want to survive - and more...a profound poem
ReplyDeleteOh Sumana, this is beautiful and I so admire your deep faith and gratitude. My poem is sort of the opposite, but is just where I was at at that particular moment. I got grateful again soon after, LOL.
ReplyDeleteWith one word at a time, we build enough energy to carry the world (or at least our world). I like it! ♥
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful. Loved the poem :)
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that each creature and living thing has special talents to survive. It is a pity that humans spend so much time and energy being destructive.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely absorbed in this signature of awe and praise
