Whenever possible keep it simple

Copyright Kanzensakura

All we need is

A Window

To let in

A patch of sky

A big Heart

To let go

Scratches

Tagged to this life

A little Fire

To keep the wheels

Of the days

Moving

A teeny tiny

My space

To read and write

And not to forget

The Shrine

To talk to God

In the calm and stormy night

  2. There certainly are little guides to make things move the way one desires. It has a way of making it happen!

  3. So very true, Sumana. We really need so very little; but we need sometimes to stop and appreciate our view of the vast, vast sky above!

  4. All we need......love the simplicity of this......especially like the idea of a little patch of sky and.....scratches!
Years and years ago when we lived in Iowa, there was a football coach who came to Iowa from Oklahoma I believe. Hayden Fry. One of his favorite saying was "scratch where it itches" and football fans (and there were many of them because this was a major university and in the Big 10 conference) wore buttons in Iowa colors (black and gold) with one word on them: "SCRATCH"
    Thanks for the memories! :)

  10. I think this is so wise... the simplicity of life I find in a cabin with food and fire... how everything's reduced to here and now, and what I carry on the back is all that I need..

  12. So many simple truths but delivered so gracefully...a very comforting poem...I love the closing...remembering to share both the calm and the storm with God. Thank you.
