All we need is
A Window
To let in
A patch of sky
A big Heart
To let go
Scratches
Tagged to this life
A little Fire
To keep the wheels
Of the days
Moving
A teeny tiny
My space
To read and write
And not to forget
The Shrine
To talk to God
In the calm and stormy night

Love the wise words of living a simple life, filled with The Shrine and grateful heart ~
ReplyDeleteThere certainly are little guides to make things move the way one desires. It has a way of making it happen!

So very true, Sumana. We really need so very little; but we need sometimes to stop and appreciate our view of the vast, vast sky above!
ReplyDeleteAll we need......love the simplicity of this......especially like the idea of a little patch of sky and.....scratches!
ReplyDeleteYears and years ago when we lived in Iowa, there was a football coach who came to Iowa from Oklahoma I believe. Hayden Fry. One of his favorite saying was "scratch where it itches" and football fans (and there were many of them because this was a major university and in the Big 10 conference) wore buttons in Iowa colors (black and gold) with one word on them: "SCRATCH"
Thanks for the memories! :)
How to live a simple life simply said. Thanks for the reminder.

ReplyDeleteI think this is so wise... the simplicity of life I find in a cabin with food and fire... how everything's reduced to here and now, and what I carry on the back is all that I need..
