        A TANKA

On the white darkness
A pale orange flow trickles
Grasses melt in joy
Stretchy days on sparrow’s wings
Listen to the twittering

  1. I like the way that you have written a tanka that we can see and hear, Sumana. I enjoyed the uniqueness of the idea of white darkness.

  2. I have never managed to write a Tanka. You make it look easier than I suspect it is.

  9. Sumana,

I read your poem as my garden was busy with so many birds. Loved the life in your words and seeing the hope ahead...

Happy Christmas and Festive Holiday season Sumana:)
