An Owl Song by a Ten Year Old Naturalist
My cute, nocturnal feathered fay
Are you
going the dodo way?
Your weary
wings screech for barns
No
rodents, no marshlands
Mother
Nature’s wondrous gift
Homeless,
jobless on wings adrift
This nesting box is a gift from me
Give me owlets I want to see

Indeed all creatures are nature's gifts, each to be appreciated in its own way. Nice.
