LIFE
illustration of W.T.Benda |
I drink light and warmth to my fill
Dark night gives me moon, day the
sun
Hungry hours can’t make my bone
chill
Billowing sorrows around me are
spun
I look upwards to see Zeus and Leto’s
son
My fluttering wings bleed but my
words fill the sky
Shining in the darkness they are
never to die
