AT 13

Lucky or unlucky

Whatever you are

You’ll always remain

As a honeyed word

My unforgettable teen

Began with you

On the African soil

That seemed so new

A new mould of me

And those fairytale hours

All your gifts

I still savor

My sweet thirteen

  7. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we lived in a world where all 13 year old girls would still savor their sweet thirteen, years later. AND I loved the thought of someone remaining as a honeyed word.
