THE LITTLE CHINESE BOY

google image

He saw only eleven cycle

Of color, fragrance, form that seasons gift

Before making a goodbye nod

To this unholy world

Where tooth, nail and blood

Are sharpening and spilling

He made sure to shower his Springs

Upon those in wait

Like him with dimmed hope of life

Now those organs of him

Will live and let a few breathe

For some more Springs

Ah the light stays......

  3. What a touching poem this is, Sumana. This 11-year-old boy is a true hero. Not many people would have done what he did. His life will carry on without him, in other people. May they never forget his gift.

  5. It's hard for a parent to say good-bye to a child, but when the child lives on in others, there is at least a little light in the darkness of bereavement.

  6. It's so touching, Sumana! The little one has such conscience and responsibilities as human being before others....and the photo so rare, showing the appreciation of such unusual civil act ...~ thanks for sharing. xx

  14. Such a noble act of courage and magnanimity of spirit. With so much darkness in the world these days, it brings to mind the verse from Isaiah 11:6 - "The wolf will live with the lamb . . . and a little child will lead them."
