Patterns of Time

Let my brief glow

In the blackness of stasis

Create a ripple of light

Let my white root delve deep

Into the dark path

And send up a wave of life

All life is a moment’s pattern

Like flash of fireflies

Dancing in the night

Posted for Susie’s hosting Bits Of Inspiration ~ Spirit Nature @ Real Toads…I used a portion of the quote from Blackfoot: "What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night.”

  4. These free verse stanzas explore the light - the energy that is life - those particles that travel so far and so fast - light and its transformations is the substance of the universe and we, humans, are with it, in it, made of it. Beautifully rendered here, recording it as patterns.

  5. Sorry if too off topic..but the flower of what i remember on Victoria's site..is one that lives in my yard too..an amazing pattern of GOD is in it..that cannot be mistaken wherever Uni Verses go..
But i have to wonder..technical speak per patterns i guess..some places have more or less evidence of GOD..
There are more churches per square mile than any other locality in the US in my local area..at one point in Guinness record book..

    But there are more flowers..
    perhaps that any where in
    the world...

Life is amazing..i hope you have beautiful flowers where you life..2..if not there.. i'm sure in you..:)

  12. I like it Sumana, life is brief, our light is brief. 'Life cycle of the human.'

Flitting around our parts of the earth, leaving trails of light where they have been. The tails dim, their leading edges grow, then a light goes out, new replaces.

  19. Ironical poem for me. This white root of life is a death sentence to flora here. Lantana is classifed as a noxious weed in the Australian bush
and there is a hefty fine if it is found growing on your property. It is very pretty and the butterflies are crazy about it, Almost impossible to get rid of once it is established unless you use poison chemicals ...We don't!.

  22. This is lovely in its self-affirmation of peace. I believe that all goodness has that ripple effect and even the smallest energy can reach out and can bring about positivity. It's nice to think about...
