The Sun

I saw her voice giving the sun’s birth

A pleasant dawn for the whole Earth

Fly me to the moon

Little angel with cascading tresses

I saw rainbow in your seven notes

Fly me to the moon

I may not see the blazing blue

My soul has drunk the morning hue

Fly me to the moon

Music will play angels will sing

Our Earth will spread joyous wings

And I’ll close my eyes in sunny warmth

Fly me to the moon

  1. Oh yes! I saw her final "I have got talent" performance. But this one exceeded it. I close my eyes and feel sun smiling on me, on all.

  4. That song is a perfect song for a child to sing. It was a favorite when I was a wee girl. A wonderful day is one where we can soak in the sun's warmth!

  5. Oh my goodness. I only heard her got talent performance and didnt know she had made appearances beyond that. Thank you for this. I get chills listening to her - that level of talent is pure gift, and her presence and assurance make me believe in past lives........she has Billie Holiday's exact voice. I hope she can hang onto that Presence and assurance. Wow. Your poem is absolutely beautiful. As is this glorious child.
