Tea or Coffee?
Aroma of tangerine liquor
And sunlight’s soft melody
Combine
The morning ambrosia
To lift the spirit
For the day
Darjeeling tea
Bridges the gap between
Lips and the white china cup

ReplyDeleteOh, those last three lines are very nice, Sumana. They make me want to savor some Darjeeling as well!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you could write for the prompt, Sumana. Thank you. Tea seems to trigger reflection and thoughtfulness in a way that coffee does not. I like tea but consider myself to be more of a coffee person.
ReplyDeleteIlfts the spirit - love that image and that line. Makes me smile just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful! Throwing in the tangerine reference was especially good.
ReplyDeleteSumana,

Oh, how nice! I don't generally drink tea, but I find myself craving one about now...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a delightful start to your day! It almost makes me want to try it...but coffee is what I have to have in the morning. Teas are an afternoon drink for me!
ReplyDeleteI shall have to try this tea. I do love hot tea in winter...Jasmine.
