Trust
I trust my sun who will always rise
I trust my stars who won’t forget to light
I trust my Ganga* who will ever purify
And my Himalayas who will pull me to His
height
My soul has taken bath in fire yet not burnt
My soul has withstood fear-storm undaunted
Waves of doubt could never blow out Thy name
The trust in Thou glows in my soul like a
flame
Be my storm, fire, deluge whatever Thou Will
With faith, trust, love let my heart be filled
*Ganga is the Ganges

There's a majesty in these beautiful, impassioned words.
ReplyDeleteWhat strength and trust is in this poem Sumana.
ReplyDeleteTrust is such a difficult to define. It requires loyalty and submissiveness. I thoroughly enjoyed the sentiments here, Sumana ad each line doesn't show any condition which could alter the meaning of trust
ReplyDeleteSo much easier to put your trust in the might of nature than to the fickleness of human hearts..
ReplyDeleteWith faith, trust, love let my heart be filled
ReplyDeleteIf blessed with the 3 elements one can never go wrong! Heart-felt feelings extended then can be most real and sincere! Great lines Sumana!

Letting go and accepting the world as it is requires a leap of faith..an ultimate trust..not easy and very admirable to achieve..another honest and beautiful poem
ReplyDeleteBe my storm, fire, deluge whatever Thou Will
ReplyDeleteWith faith, trust, love let my heart be filled.
Loved the closing lines.. It is as difficult to gain trust as easy it is to lose it. Well penned..!
Lots of love,
Sanaa
A strong prayer of faith ~ I specially admire the ending couplet ~
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend Sumana ~
a most comforting poem!
ReplyDelete"My soul has taken bath in fire yet not burnt" -- What a powerful statement this is, Sumana.
ReplyDeleteReally hard to keep faith when all goes well in life, but much more difficult to keep the faith when difficult times abound! Your words express a strong faith.
To trust and then Trust with full heart--oohh--this is a good prayer--I will keep it to go beyond surfaces and into the vastness beyond all.
