I AM
courtesy : d'verse |
I am existence
I am in relationship
With the universe
Dusts and the stars
Stare at me
We do feel related
The universe will be
non-existent
When I shall cease to
be
What lingers
When all is said and
done?
Posted for d’Verse where
I answered the first question (who are you and whom do you love?) asked by
MarinaSofia and included the last question as a part of my poem
I love the way you included the last question into your answer to the first -and goodness, you do go far and wide, soaring above, in your inter-connectedness with the whole universe.
ReplyDeletewhen all is said and done waht is left of us...and are the things we are doing now going to really matter...what are we making important in the mean time....
ReplyDeleteThe connection to the universe... what lingers are like the dust.. yes sometimes you feel that connection when you gaze at the starry sky...
ReplyDeleteOh yes, we all are related to the universe indeed!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful thing to be aware that all that is is in this game together..till the end we share the fruit of what is...:)
ReplyDeleteI like that relationship with the universe & using the question as part of your response ~ Good one Sumana ~
ReplyDeleteah we def. are related.... and one plays tightly together with the other... how could we separate it...
ReplyDeleteSo profound... really enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteAh, these are the questions we seek answers to, for all of life.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant. Your latest brevities have touched more truth than waterfalls of words can find. May you have a long and happy life!
ReplyDeleteImportant questions of life
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of verse I like. Straight-forward, direct, not embellished, not too subjective, but yet so deep and medititive
ReplyDeleteVery well done>KB
ReplyDeleteWe are related indeed to the universe, and to each other.
ReplyDeleteLoving being part of the universe - what a relaxing and comforting thought. We are all connected, after all.
ReplyDeleteloved the relationship with the universe... we are connected to earth more than we think, I believe we are one and can gain inner peace
ReplyDeleteAll in all we are all connected with the cosmos and the universe itself.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem! :)
When I shall cease to be... What lingers
ReplyDeletemy question as well. This is lovely
Beautiful! I love the way you tell of the connection to the universe, one can only be in awe gazing up at the sky.
ReplyDeleteI like the connection you make with the universe Sumana, excellent in its succinctness.
ReplyDeleteperhaps you shall be again, or we linger liked whispered words as long as our memory or poetry remains.
ReplyDeleteI, too, appreciate the connectedness in this, as well as the thoughts on the brevity of the universe. Wonderful~
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful - our relationship with the All That Is is what keeps us going.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sumana...every one is connected to universe:)
ReplyDeleteWhat lingers? Who knows? An atheist believes nothing. A religious person believes in after life. A Hindu believes in reincarnation...A Christian believe you only get one chance at being alive. We will all find out eventually:)
ReplyDeletelife is said to be an everlasting song and your poem a lovely refrain
ReplyDeleteYes indeed Sumana: "When I cease to be What lingers
ReplyDeleteWhen all is said and done?" in many ways the ultimate question of mortality... Love, for sure would be my answer - thanks for this... With Best Wishes Scott
Your poem says you are on the right path to finding answers...answers we all would like to hear...I hear the longing..great to repeat the question.
ReplyDeleteI truly like the simplicity of this yet the holistic view on life and your "self". Lovely write!!
ReplyDeleteI like your perspective here. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love it! That final question is powerful, and the whole poem is beautiful in its simple profundity.
ReplyDeleteI like how you incorporated the last question in your poem. It is profound. I also like how you describe our co-existence with the entire universe. This is lovely.
ReplyDeleteVery cool I like the poetic vision of who you are.
