            A NAIVE PAINTER
                                painting of seraphine louis

The flowers
Who ought to speak
In hue, honey and scent
Have become mute
The bouquet-life
Is so tied up
Cut off from roots
The beauty
Withers fast
The release is
In unsung end

  2. Great take on this.
It's so subtle but that rope caught my attention as well.

  3. This is a wonderful response to the prompt......the "unsung end" - that sums up Seraphine's sad life.

  4. Wow--I din't catch that sense of binding and boundary in her work, but now that your poem gave me the eyes, I see that she embedded protest as well as love. Even in the video I put with mine, the frame cramps the spirit. Thank you so much.

  6. This made me feel sad that even though the flowers are beautiful, they are in fact dead... Lovely piece!

  8. .When you observe the quality of the choir who is doing the singing of recognition and praise. It is of no real value. Her unsung end is of little importance. Her legacy is.
Enjoyed your poem Sumana Thank you for bringing this artist to my attention..
