THIRST

Merciful heaven

Sends drops of kindness to all

A few receivers

Insatiable flames rise

We walk on contentment’s ash

  18. Contentment is a mirage here? The ash made me think of things long gone and over. "We walk on contentment’s ash" sounds so final and yet like the turning of the karmic wheel. Deep.
