Martyr

“Who told you to touch my things?

There should be limits to trespasses

Uh oh don’t try to serenade

You are no bird of paradise

I hate that martyred look of yours

Could you please get lost?”

Her stony feet

Can’t walk out of this hell

Of every second of her life

A sigh escapes

  2. It makes me think of the sort of person who is terribly invasive and acts as if martyred when called on their behavior. I enjoyed the poem very much.
