My Prayer

prayer flags: source

All my senses are weary of light, life

I look up to you dearest dark rest

Soothe my soul with thy healing touch

Let my eyes see not

Ears hear not

Tongue speak not

Let thy soft cool hands of love

Take away the hatred that corroded all cells

Let my warring earthly home

Be embraced by your peace made hands

Let us all recover

From this disease of Death

Fashion

source

I look at Nature’s dancing feet

Allegro they sing

She moves from summer to fall

To winter to spring

Her looks and exquisite garments

Continue changing

From green to fiery to white to rainbow

Hope and joy they bring

Choice

source

Life is given.

The tree, roots down the dark earth

Shoots up to the luminous sky,

Branches out,

Stands the storm,

Bears fruit, sustenance,

Harbors life.

Its soul is made of forbearance,

Mercy and forgiveness.

Man hacks, chops, puts it to death

Yet it dreams for the wellbeing of others.

Mother Nature in her tree body

Shows the way

To live this earthly life.

We could be like it

Making this birth meaningful

Our choice.

Not Everyone is Happy

source

She dabbed some white fluffy cloud

On the endless blue canvas

I was watching Her

She sprinkled sun dust all over the place

Shiny fronds began to sway by Her soft breath

I was watching Her

She was weaving beauty

With lotus, sheuli, Kash*

I was watching Her

Stream of joy flowed from the cup of Her hands

This is Mother Durga’s** homecoming

Happiness is in the air

Oh! How I miss you!

sheuli flowers

Kash/kans grass

*flowers of Bengal that bloom during autumn

**This is also the time for worshipping Durga who is our eternal mother. The festival marks the victory of Good over Evil. Early Autumn does prepare this homecoming of Mother Durga.

Let Your Song Be Delicate

courtesy: PU

Let your words flow

From the crystal heart spring

Shimmering in truth’s glow

Let your dreams bloom

With the soft fragrance of joy

Dispelling all thorny gloom

Let your soul sing

In chrysalis voice

And eternal beauty spring

On My Girl

courtesy: dVerse

“Isn’t there any recent photo of her?”

“Many. But I want her to dwell in my heart only”

“I am so sorry. I didn’t mean…

“It’s okay. There’s touch of her

On the floors

On the walls

On the garden path

Everywhere outside

Where all could see her

Now it’s only her and me

In my heart

She will reside

Till my Deep slumber”

Boredom

source

Time knows

How to bore an empty me to death

When I don’t feel like doing anything

Not even fill time with words

Then

Words don’t come to me easily

I look askew

I don’t like

The framed grey sky’s look

Where has its smile gone to?

The sun is hidden

So will be the stars

So will be my Muse

I want a forget-me-not sky

To pour all my lost similes,

Lost smile

But I told you already

Words don’t come to me easily

These times

Hilltop

The sunset rock glows. Crimson hue’s melting and drenching the hill. An ear to the evensongs in bird-voice I walk alone in the woods. Leaves are still and so is my mind. Words have stopped fizzing. I have become Prayer itself. The evening star is out in a pink purple sky. Ah…let peace rain everywhere. Let joy kindle every heart. I pray for you little Aylan. You are my child too.

Night drips from the sky

A small tree on hilltop bursts

Silhouetted sorrow

Watershed Moments

source

To leave or not to leave

Once one is entangled in this mesh

It’s very difficult to get out

I am scratched all over

Blood still drips

Advices raining upon me:

That time will hang on me

That it’s foolishness to leave

A lucrative job

That boredom will drive me crazy

Etc. etc.

But Spirit is always willing

So is my flesh

I want some Time

Exclusively for Me

To sit in silence

Read in silence

Write in silence

Work in silence

Be Me in silence

Be in peace

Let this September be

My last working month

Let me have the courage

To be free

I am waiting

For

The moment....
