The Night Witnesses

courtesy : Forest Terminal by Mike Worrall

A dilapidated station
Is half awake
A maze of trees Lies in wait
A solitary soul
Draped in black
Lost in thought of remote past
Frozen lake
Nowhere to be seen
Unending rail tracks
Vanish into mists
All promises kept and all miles trodden
Lovely, deep woods must be paid heed to then
Tell tale clock nods, knows what will happen

          If Ever

Just as all rivers turn to Ocean
And all faiths to Thou
I am not sure if my meandering thoughts
Will ever find the path of prayer to reach You

Just as some blotted out stars still shine
And the sky wears a new moon
I am not sure if my empty heart
Will ever be ablaze with love for Thou

Just as waterfall crashes with all its strength
And tears stream down a devotee’s face
I am not sure if my crusty soul
Will ever break to flow towards You

Just as the wind ripples the lakes and ponds
And murmurs in the jungle
Let Your Name ripple my being
Rid my mind of its trenches with Wicked Corner
Hold my fears of facing Truth at bay
Make not a splash ever
And I am sure
I shall not fall from Your Grace
Whether I am downhill, in the gorges or on mountaintops

     Dona Nobis Pacem

I see a huge golden egg
The size of the full moon
Oscillating in the inky sky
A crack appears
The shell breaks into golden shower
A luminous Dove emerges
Spreading its radiant wings
It takes a downward flight
Hearing our prayer
Lo and Behold
The Earth metamorphoses
Into a love bubble in the galaxy

      OH SPRING
Joy is forever
Icy cold shroud can’t quell it
Mind becomes spring

Mind becomes spring
Blooming flowers day and night
Poets wear a smile

Poets wear a smile
There is no dearth of blossoms
Oh bliss of creation

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

That slender figure
With thousands of green eyes glowing
Was beckoning
A winged Babe responded
And began drinking darkness
Until dawn cracked letting out the huge yolk
The tree was happy

COMFORT

Those rare moments of comfort come
When huge word waves recede in the mind
And not a ripple is created
All thoughts escape into nothingness
Only the being remains
Everything seems to be made of peace
Everyone appears to be angels
Only Comfort reigns supreme
The heart becomes a spring of joy
Wish to God that realm of Beauty
Is given to all

MASK
I am consciousness alone
Wearing the body-mask for the time being
And watching how the Cosmic Soul
Has put on the mask of the universe
I am related to everyone and everything
I am beyond death
When the time comes
I shall cast away the mask
And be one with the Cosmic Soul
