I Still Live

source

I live, remember

How you moved

In me

How you lived

On me

How I rocked you

To slumber

Sound of Silence

source

The raging roar of thought-waves crashes

Echo.          Ashes

I pick the shards of myself up from the black shore

Echo.          Sore

Darkness with the glittering smile of stars

Echo.          Stares

A suppressed wail from my inside wells up

Echo.          Sap

Grief has taken its toll and leads to ruin

Echo.          Win

I stand on the long night’s shore alone

Echo.          One

In the belief that One Being will hold my hand

Echo.          And

In the heart that will rise that splits the night

Echo.          Might

Hollering tides will recede and touch the sound of silence

Echo.          Quiescence

Form – Echo Verse

I used the title and two sentences from Simon and Garfunkel’s song “The Sound of Silence”

Back to School

source

Blooms smile and dance

In the school garden

Shake their bags

On the back

Some chirp and twitter

Want to fly

A bouquet of them

Holding fingers of moms

Sad faced, tearful

Want to go home

Their first day at school today

Aw….

Time Witnessed

source

The seed

Dropped into the heart

Time witnessed

How it writhed

Squirmed and was torn

In silence

Then burst forth

In stem, blooms and thorn

A joy in lines was born

Reflections

I stand before the mirror

Echo.           Error

I do see myself, you know

Echo.           No

Who is that if it’s not me?

Echo.           Me

Am I the echo of myself?

Echo.           Self

Is the person without self nothing?

Echo.           A thing

What will I do with things that die?

Echo.          Dye

You’re mad, Echo, dye with what glove?

Echo.          Love

Through this body will then my soul express?

Echo.            Yes

Beauty

source

The beggar mother croons

A moon-song to her child

Its happy lips become that crescent

The sparrow finds a shade

Under a fig leaf

While Mother Nature lovingly sings

Her rain-song

The eternal Romeo and Juliet

Whisper love-song

Drenched in moonbeams

Martyrs caught in the web of hatred

Could only breathe love

Love is Beauty, Beauty Love

We need to breathe it

To survive

Astronaut’s amazed

Bright Earth rises in the sky

Feet on dark moon-dust
