My Days

image from Etsy: Blue Muse Fine Art

My days

May not be

As symmetrical

As complex

As hued

My days

May not be

As captivating

As simple

As soft

They

Still

Work

As hard

Go

As deep in soil

Rise

As sunward

My

Days

  1. Whether it is a flower or us we strive forward, sunward perhaps as there is no other way to go hoping we bloom in our lifetime.

  3. Excellent response, Sumana! Your metaphor is clear and even the shape of the poem echoes the blooms - straight and true.

  15. Yes. Love the comparison. I find it new to think of my days as rare--or even common--plants that make it day after day with beauty and all you attribute to them. Recently I showed people as little mountains, but this is also true. I will care more for my backyard blooms, notice more along the.

  20. lovely... each day is our own, and filled with the richness of that knowledge. and like those two flowers, we lean on each other for comfort, and sometimes, find beauty in that.

and we are all part of that very same earth-globe soil.

(I love how much you wove into this!)
