A Cacophony of Birdsong
(APRIL-24)
                                            courtesy : google image

My day breaks
With the cacophony of birdsong
My heart dances
This waking can never go wrong
My eyes capture
Another iris’s soft crimson glow
My soul feels
The gentle breezy freedom’s flow
A beautiful prayer- moment for all arrives
May Mother Nature and her babies thrive
May this little dream for all survives

DESERTS

Deserts in Rajasthan
Deserts in India
Deserts of Asia
Deserts in Africa
Deserts in Australia
Deserts of the world
The list is unending
But nowhere you’ll get
Desserts with ice-cream
Except in Desertcape-Resort Jodhpur
Where through the casement
You might catch a glimpse
Of a sudden desert storm

A weird land
Where look-a-likes rule
Smile a mask

REFLECTION

The little pond
Holds the sky
In her bosom
A dewdrop the Sun
Thou art in my heart
I need none

AGONY
(April-20)

“Renounce all and do follow me”
                 All disregarded with much glee
Sighs in a nook a forlorn tree

Even the Giant broke his lofty wall to let the children in
The Child in that Elysium did soak all that was mean
Blessed was the Giant pure in heart getting rid of sin

Who Art the Fishers of men?
                Whispering in sun and rain
Leave mammon and once be sane

                There’s a mad gold-rush
                Films, songs pens and brush
                The world’s full of mush

                Someone…is in pain
               “I thirst” whose eyes rain?
                Is….all….forgotten?

APRIL 19

They* walked
On feather feet
And saw
With prism eyes
Took the moon
For a rainbow-ball
They loved
Weaving sunbeam dreams
When the black storm rose
The prism broke
That sad celestial eye
Showered
Gray light
The two shadowy sisters
Hobbled
On brick feet

*Two of my students, who lost both parents in a road accident

 A SONG
(April-18)
                                             courtesy : google image

 With those
Dove-alphabets
The song Written on
The azure paper
Sung by you
Is powerful
To stop
The blood-bath
I sink my quill
In the sun-pot
Copy
Those songs
And whisper
To the wind
To take them
Far and wide
